Are you looking for tips to get more traffic to your blog? If Yes, you came to the right place! There is no magic to increase the traffic to your blog, but if you follow the tips which I will be giving you in this article then it will be easy for you to get more traffic. So, I will be answering the question “How to Get More Traffic to Your Blog?” in this article.
Tips to get more traffic to your blog
Write SEO Friendly Blog Post:
If you write SEO friendly blog post then your blog post will have a higher chance of getting indexed in Search Engines like Google and Bing. Yoast SEO plugin will help you to write SEO friendly blog post if you are using WordPress.
While writing SEO friendly blog post take these points into consideration:
- Decide the keyphrase for the blog post.
- Use your keyphrase in URL, Title and Content of the blog post.
- Try to include the keyphrase at least 3 times in blog post content.
- Use Images with alt text. Try to use keyphrase in alt text.
- Use headings, subheadings in blog post.
Write Blog posts consistently:
Write regularly on your blog. Publish at least one post in a week.
Always be in search of the blog post ideas. If you found the blog post idea then note it down somewhere in notepad so that you can write on that idea later.
If you don’t post regularly you will lose your audience, hence the traffic. I have suggested at least one post per week. You can write and publish more.
Write Unique Content:
Most Important is writing unique content. Don’t copy paste. If you are publishing the content which already exists on some other blog or website then the search engines will ignore your content.
If you share the blog post which is not unique then you will lose your audience. Now you may ask me the question “How to write unique content?” If you write about the topic you have knowledge and experience then you will not need to copy the content from other website or blog.
Share your blog posts to social media:
Once you hit the Publish button, its time to share the post to social media. When I say Social Media, it means, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. There are many social media to which you can share your blog post.
I prefer to share my blog posts on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Most of the traffic comes to my blog from Twitter and Facebook. Using any messenger to share the blog post link with our friends or relatives will also help to increase the traffic. I use WhatsApp messenger to share my blog post links to my friends.
Read and Comment on other Blogs:
- Be active in reading other blogs. Comment on the other blogs which are relevant to your blog.
- While commenting on other blogs make sure that your comment is relevant to the content of the blog post on which you are commenting.
- Your comment should not be too long or too less.
- Keep it short and simple.
- It is better to address the author of the post by his/her name first and write your comment.
- I am again repeating that your comment should be relevant to the content of the respective blog post, otherwise your comment will not get approved considering it as spam.

Give External Links in your blog post:
While writing the blog post you can include the external link of the related blog post. For example, if you are writing something about the Top Tech Blogs then you should include the links of that tech blogs in your blog posts. If you include the links of other blogs make sure that you inform respective blogger about the same. Informing the respective blogger will help you in increasing the blog traffic. How? That Blogger may share the link of your blog post to his/her social media.

Add Social Share Buttons:
Adding social share buttons to the blog post will help the users to share the blog post easily. Once the user shared your blog post to social media it will reach to the more people and your traffic will get increased.
Add the social share buttons of mostly used social media like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Email, etc
Note: Google Plus buttons are no more functional, so if you have these buttons below your blog post REMOVE them.
Promote Your Blog on Quora:
Are you using Quora to promote your blog? If not then start using it to promote your blog.
Now the question is how to promote the blog on Quora? Quora is question answer site. You can answer the questions which are related to your blog posts. Write the answers which will help the user who has posted the question. Include your blog post link somewhere in your answer. Quora is a high traffic website and very well indexed on Google. The traffic from Quora to your blog will always be quality traffic.

You’ve got some great advice. I would add with the social sharing buttons to also make sure you have a ‘pin it’ button of some form, as Pinterest is such a great source of traffic! There are many great plugins available for free that will take care of this!

The primary traffic source get changes time to time. But I observed that Twitter is on TOP since 2-3 months as I am more active there.
