From a ₹75,000 IT job to building travel businesses: Rajiv Sadh’s entrepreneurial journey
Rajiv Sadh, the founder of HumTripWale and co-founder of MyCrew Goa brings a UX design background to travel and hospitality.
Rajiv Sadh’s move into travel entrepreneurship began with a decision to leave an IT career. According to his account, he was earning ₹75,000 a month before choosing to build a business of his own.
His background was in UX design, where understanding people’s needs and reducing friction are part of the job. Travel offered a different setting for that thinking: helping people plan a trip, coordinate services and enjoy their time at a destination.
That decision led to HumTripWale. The business started in Indore and operated from there, while developing a strong base in Himachal Pradesh. It gave Rajiv hands-on experience in group travel and destination operations. His next venture, MyCrew Goa, builds on that experience with a focus on personalised travel concierge services.

Building HumTripWale from Manali
HumTripWale’s work in Himachal Pradesh became an important part of Rajiv’s development as a founder. Organising a trip meant coordinating accommodation, transport, itineraries, local partners and travellers, rather than simply selling a destination.
Rajiv describes building customer trust as one of the main challenges. Travellers were committing their money, time and holiday expectations to the business. Meeting those expectations required clear communication and attention to details before and during each trip.
It also required responding when plans changed. The experience taught him that a travel business depends on the quality of its day-to-day delivery and the relationships behind it.
According to Rajiv, HumTripWale reached a ₹2.5 crore turnover milestone within its first two years. That figure is his self-reported account, rather than an independently audited figure presented in this article. It refers to turnover, not profit.
For Rajiv, the business provided lessons beyond the number: how travellers make decisions, how local partnerships work and where coordination can become difficult. Those lessons helped shape his thinking about what to build next.
Applying UX thinking to destination travel
A destination visit can involve several separate arrangements. A traveller may book accommodation through one provider, arrange transport through another, and search independently for dining, activities or local experiences.
Rajiv’s interest is in making those arrangements easier to coordinate. His UX design background encourages him to look at the experience from the traveller’s point of view. His work with HumTripWale adds practical knowledge of the operations needed to deliver it.
MyCrew Goa is the next step in that direction. Rather than replacing HumTripWale, it applies lessons from group travel to a different service model.
Co-launching MyCrew Goa
Rajiv co-launched MyCrew Goa with Sanjeev Ojha and Bobby Singh of WS Hospitality. The Goa-based venture focuses on personalised destination experiences and travel concierge services.
The concept brings together different parts of a visitor’s stay, including accommodation, transport, dining and experiences. The founder’s plans also include services around nightlife, wellness and premium travel.
An app is part of the venture’s development plans. The aim is to help travellers discover and coordinate services through a digital platform, supported by local concierge assistance. This is a development vision, not a claim that every planned feature is already available.
For Rajiv, MyCrew Goa is an opportunity to combine design thinking, travel operations and collaboration with partners from the travel and hospitality industry. It also extends his work beyond the group-travel model into personalised and premium experiences.
Goa first, with further destinations planned
Goa is the venture’s first market. Starting in one destination gives the team a place to develop local partnerships and refine its service model before expanding.
Rajiv’s longer-term plans include Manali and other destinations. These remain future ambitions, rather than announced operating locations or a confirmed expansion timetable.
Himachal Pradesh has particular relevance to that plan because of HumTripWale’s strong base there. A future move into Manali would connect Rajiv’s earlier work in destination travel with the concierge model he is now developing in Goa.
The next chapter
Rajiv describes his larger ambition as building a travel and hospitality business that connects technology, local services and personal assistance.
HumTripWale is the foundation of that work. MyCrew Goa is the next chapter.
Alongside his businesses, his personal travel and storytelling identity, Sadh Ka Safar, reflects his interest in exploration and sharing the journey.
His founder story moves from an IT career to running trips, then to building a travel concierge venture with partners. The connection between those stages is practical: understanding what travellers need, learning from delivery and using that experience to shape the next business.
This founder profile is based on information supplied by Rajiv Sadh. Salary, turnover and future business plans are attributed to him and have not been independently verified.
