In a significant leadership shakeup, Info Edge (India) Limited has appointed Jatin Thukral as the company’s new Chief AI Scientist and Chief Product Officer for Naukri. The announcement, which follows a Board-approved resolution on October 30, 2025, will officially take effect on November 3, 2025.

This elevation of Thukral, who was previously the Executive Vice President and Head of Data Science, marks a key milestone in Info Edge’s broader strategy to deepen its focus on AI-led product innovation and enhance operational efficiency across its diverse recruitment platforms.

Thukral’s New Dual Role to Accelerate AI Innovation

In his new roles, Thukral will oversee the integration of artificial intelligence across all of Info Edge’s business verticals, while also leading product development for Naukri, India’s leading job portal. The decision comes as Info Edge intensifies its commitment to AI as a core growth driver. According to the company, Thukral’s leadership will be pivotal in unlocking new monetization opportunities through the integration of generative AI and automation technologies.

The company also highlighted that, as of its FY25 annual report, its AI-first initiatives have led to a 15-20% improvement in key business metrics. These initiatives include the adoption of AI-powered products such as Naukri 360, AI-Rex, and new data-driven analytics tools.

Strengthening AI Strategy at Info Edge

Info Edge’s ongoing transformation revolves around leveraging AI and machine learning (ML) to enhance its platforms, making them smarter, more scalable, and user-centric. • Nimish Kulshrestha: Formerly the Executive Vice President for Product Development, Kulshrestha will now serve as the Chief Business Officer for IIMJobs, Hirist, and NaukriGulf.
• Shail Gaurav: Previously the Executive Vice President for Marketing, Gaurav has been appointed as the Chief Business Officer for Naukri 360 and Head of B2C Marketing.
• Atul Kumar: Following the reorganization, Atul Kumar will no longer be classified as senior management personnel.

Jatin Thukral’s Extensive Experience

Thukral, who joined Info Edge in 2020, has a solid track record in AI and business strategy. Prior to his time at Info Edge, Thukral worked at prominent global firms, including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and Flipkart, where he led data science research initiatives. Holding a PhD from ETH Zurich and being a CFA charterholder, Thukral brings over two decades of expertise in AI, machine learning, and business analytics to his new roles at Info Edge.
