I’d like to take a moment to tell you about my new startup, Mr. Inappropriate.
Mr. Inappropriate – It’s more than rude birthday cards online shop
At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s just an online store that sells rude birthday cards and funny gifts, but it’s actually a lot more than that.
It might help if I explain where it came from.
For most of my adult life, I’ve worked for large companies, usually in the IT department. With a strong corporate structure, most of the people working in this environment feel a lot of pressure. Pressure from their management but also pressure from themselves.
As a result, so many people I’ve worked with have felt stressed and anxious a lot of the time, not just when they’re at work but also during the evenings and weekends. They feel the pressure build up and it takes over their lives.
Over the years this has become increasingly apparent to me and as a result, I’ve focussed more of my attention on resolving this for as many people as I can. It turns out that it’s not that hard, it just takes a little time, kindness and most importantly humour.
It seems that just having a good giggle at something really helps us escape whatever it is that’s bothering us. It’s like a little vacation for the mind and soul.
Although I think I’ve been quite good at doing this in the corporate environment there is a limit to the number of people I can help.
This is where the idea for Mr. Inappropriate came from. I really want to help people feel happy and relaxed, and hopefully make a little money in the process.
If you look at the Mr. Inappropriate website you’ll see that the humour is a bit more intelligent and creative than most online rude gift stores, and it’s a lot less offensive. Most of these websites just sell products that say things like ‘I hate people’, or ‘fuck off’, but I really don’t think this is what we need. We need something that gives us something to think about and share, and have a good laugh at without being mean.
Funny and embarrassing true stories from Mr. Inappropriate
If you sign up to the email list, you’ll also see that I communicate personally with you; you’ll get a warm welcome email to which you’re encouraged to reply, and when you do you’ll get a personal reply from me with your ‘magic number’. This number will give you the chance to win one of three prizes for that month.
Any other emails that you send to me you’ll also see that I reply to, I promise you that you’ll get the feeling of being part of something, give it a go, you’ll see what I mean.
Also, once you are part of the email community you’ll start to receive some funny and embarrassing true stories from and about me, Dan, your host. I get a lot of replies to these so I know people like them, you’ll see what I mean when you sign up.
I’ve even had emails from people telling me how my emails have cheered them up so much they have worked better for them than their antidepressants!
I am working hard to help all of my community members feel better, have a giggle and take a break from their everyday crap, come and join in!
