Sustainiam – Winner of Karnataka’s Elevate 2023 Grant, Gears Up for Worldwide Climate-Tech Impact!
Bangalore-based climate-tech startup Sustainiam emerged as a winner in the top 15 among thousands of startups in the prestigious Elevate 2023 Call 2 program by the Government of Karnataka.
The Elevate program, an initiative by the Government of Karnataka, selects the top technology-based startups across the state through an eminent selection committee, including entities like NASSCOM and TiE Bangalore (The Indus Entrepreneurs), among others.
Sustainiam focuses on fighting the global climate crisis with innovative solutions that incentivize renewable energy and alternate fuel generation projects, ranging from large enterprises to MSME including rural areas. These solutions generate certificates that can be traded in carbon markets to help clients boost their revenue.
Sapna Nijhawan, Founder and CEO of Sustainiam, and one of the very few women leaders in the climate-tech industry, said: “Sustainiam is dedicated to transforming the sustainability landscape. Now that we have established our place in India and are expanding to global carbon markets, the backing and encouragement from the Government of Karnataka through the Elevate grant will help us scale our carbon solutions to extend our global reach!”
