Can you please tell our readers about yourself?

I am Parth, the founder of ADRO PARDI. I am an e-commerce enthusiast from Surat, Gujarat. I pursued commerce in school but ended up dropping out of my B.Com program. Despite this, I found my passion in technology and became a certified Ethical Hacker. My journey has been unconventional, but it has given me a unique perspective on business and e-commerce.

Tell us about your firm ADRO PARDI. What’s the major problem you are solving?

ADRO PARDI is a proprietorship firm I founded. While it’s not technically a startup, we operate with the agility and innovation of one. At ADRO PARDI, we specialize in selling oversized t-shirts of premium quality. Currently, our designs focus on two niches: Anime and Space, but we are planning to expand our offering

Our goal is to provide a superior shopping experience and high-quality products. Many oversized t-shirts on the market tend to look baggy and unflattering, making the wearer feel shabby. This has been a common theme in comedy reels and memes. We addressed this issue by offering t-shirts made from 270 GSM pure cotton fabric, which gives them a stylish look while maintaining comfort. Our t-shirts are meticulously crafted with high-quality stitching and box finishing. We’ve tested the length, sleeve, and chest sizes to ensure the perfect fit. Despite the heavy fabric, I wear our t-shirts even in 45°C summer heat, which isn’t possible with other brands. We have answered many questions like these: what size of chest should be? What size of sleeve should be? How should it feel after wearing it? How customer will feel after wearing it? How much portion should be moving in air? And what not? See this image for reference.

Another point is Price. Price is another significant problem in the market. Most brands sell oversized t-shirts at high prices, above ₹2499 or ₹2999, due to brand aspirations. Those that sell around ₹1000 often use Pollycotton instead of pure cotton. Although some brands have switched to pure cotton, their prices have increased to ₹1299-₹1499. Our t-shirts are priced between ₹799 – ₹1199, making them more affordable without compromising on quality.

Why the name ADRO PARDI?

The name ADRO PARDI is derived from my full name, ADROJA PARTH DILIPBHAI. In Gujarati culture, we write our names starting with the surname, followed by the first name and then the father’s name.

‘ADRO’ is taken from my surname, ‘PA’ from my first name, and ‘DI’ from my father’s name. This way, the name ADRO PARDI represents my full identity and personal connection to the brand.

Why do your customers select you over your competitors?

Customers choose us over other brands because we prioritize quality and comfort in every t-shirt we offer. Our double bio-washed t-shirts have greater longevity and a softer feel. We also focus on providing an excellent customer experience. We have a phone number listed on our website where I personally answer calls, allowing customers to speak directly with me. This personal touch sets us apart.

Moreover, our t-shirts are affordable compared to other brands. We address every customer concern and constantly improve our products based on feedback. Our dedication to quality, customer service, and affordability makes us the preferred choice for many.

What were the problems/challenges you faced up to this date? How did you overcome them?

Starting ADRO PARDI was challenging. But true entrepreneurs don’t shy away from tough tasks. I took a personal loan to fund ADRO PARDI and rented a small office to manage operations. The major hurdle was sourcing high-quality fabric that met our standards. I personally tested each t-shirt on myself and my friends to ensure the best quality before finalizing the product.

Currently, we face an issue with brand communication. Our website doesn’t effectively convey the benefits of our t-shirts. To address this, I’ve sought feedback from brutally honest friends who provide real and constructive criticism. Honest feedback is crucial for growth. I have a to-do list to make necessary changes, which should be completed by the end of this month.

Please tell us about an achievement you are most proud of.

While there isn’t a big achievement yet, starting ADRO PARDI is something I am proud of. Many people have dreams, but few step out of their comfort zones to achieve them. The fact that I took the initiative to start ADRO PARDI and overcome initial challenges is an achievement in itself. I believe there will be many more significant accomplishments in the future that will make both me and ADRO PARDI proud.

What are the future goals for your start-up ADRO PARDI?

I started ADRO PARDI with the goal of making the clothing industry more sustainable. The clothing industry is one of the largest contributors to pollution. My ambition is to make this industry pollution-free. Currently, we are dependent on others, but we ensure that no or fewer harmful chemicals are used in the dyeing and other processes of making t-shirts. As we scale, we will work more on this. I believe the earth is for all living beings, not just humans. Pollution affects birds, animals, and other lives too, and since they can’t speak for themselves, we must take steps to protect them.
