Fashion Influencer – The Gulabi Girl ( Pranjal Salecha )
Let’s meet Pranjal Salecha, one of the top fashion influencers on Instagram. She is well known as The Gulabi Girl on Instagram. TechnoVans team had some conversation with her and we came up with this awesome interview post. Pranjal is sharing her journey as a fashion influencer along with some important tips to grow on Instagram.
Can you please introduce yourself to our audience?
I am Pranjal Salecha. Born in Gujrat and brought up in Jalgaon and came to Pune 13 years back for my further studies back then. I have done fashion designing and worked as an intern with different designers and later did a job in wedding planning for almost 3.5 years as it was quite fascinating and a very good learning experience for me. While working as a wedding planner I started writing blogs as well and when the blogging picked up, I left my job and became a full-time blogger/influencer/content creator.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Passionate, Hard working, Multi tasker
Why the name “The Gulabi Girl”?
As I wanted it to be a little desi and i was obsessed with colour pink, so Pink became Gulabi and TheGulabigirl was born.
Everything I have always had a touch of the colour pink. Even in my style, you would see something or other around pink colour.
What are your 5 must-have fashion essentials?
White shirt, High waisted pants, Luxury bag, boho neckpiece, stole (which can be styled and used in 50 different ways)
What is the most challenging thing do you think of as a fashion influencer on Instagram?
Most challenging is to create content which is relatable and engaging as well. Also it needs to stand out from other similar content.
How do Instagram influencers make money?
After you reach a certain level with your followers and content, brands pay you to promote their product on your social media handle with the highest reach.
Why should people follow you on Instagram?
Because I create content which is quite relatable and can be easily achieved if it is about some styling look. Plus I don’t work on only sponsored content. If you see my instagram handle it has 60% not sponsored content and 40% is paid partnerships.
What is your advice for new fashion influencers to grow on Instagram?
Reels are the key to your growth. It has very high engagement and also the best and easiest way to create content from your phone from beginners.
