Tell us about Picyard Design tool you built. What does it does?

Picyard is a versatile web application that allows users to create and edit various types of images, such as QR codes, testimonials, charts, and code snippets, without any design or coding skills. The intuitive and user-friendly interface of Picyard makes it easy to use for people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you are a professional marketer or a student, Picyard offers the right tools to create visually appealing and engaging images that can enhance your online presence.

Why the name Picyard?

The name ‘Picyard’ is a combination of ‘Pic’, short for picture, and ‘Yard’, a place where things are created or stored. It signifies a place where beautiful and creative images are crafted.

How did you come up with this idea? and how much effort have you taken to implement it?

I started working on Picyard, after I saw a few post images on Twitter which had backgrounds to an existing screenshot and it looked cool. Soon I thought I would also make something like that and make it free for everyone. Made that tool in a day and launched it on Product Hunt.

Got a lot of love and feedback after the first product hunt launch, a lot of users actually requested different features.

I kept tweeting about my project and continued to add different features to it according to customer needs. Soon it became a micro saas and I started selling subscriptions and lifetime deals.

The idea for Picyard came from a personal need for a simple, user-friendly tool to create and edit images. I realized that many people, like me, needed a tool that was easy to use, yet powerful enough to create professional-looking images. Implementing this idea required a lot of research, planning, and development. But seeing how Picyard has been able to help so many people makes all the effort worthwhile.

What were the problems/challenges you faced up to this date? How did you overcome them?

Like any other startup, we faced several challenges along the way. One of the main challenges was ensuring that Picyard remained user-friendly while still offering a wide range of features. We overcame this by constantly seeking feedback from our users and making necessary adjustments to improve the user experience.

How do you promote your product/services?

We primarily promote Picyard through social media and word-of-mouth. We believe that the best promotion comes from satisfied users who share their positive experiences with others.

What are the TOP three reasons you think people should use the Picyard?

  • Ease of Use: Picyard’s intuitive interface makes it easy for anyone to create beautiful images, regardless of their design skills.
  • Versatility: With Picyard, you can create a wide range of images, from QR codes and testimonials to charts and code snippets.
  • Freemium Model: Picyard is available for free, making it accessible to everyone. Also it has many premium features of advanced usage.

Please tell us about an achievement you are most proud of?

One of my proudest achievements is seeing Picyard grow and become a tool that people rely on for their image creation needs. Knowing that we’re making a difference in people’s lives is incredibly rewarding.

What are the future goals for your Picyard Design tool?

Our goal for Picyard is to continue improving and expanding our features based on user feedback. We want Picyard to be the go-to tool for anyone who needs to create beautiful, professional-looking images.
