Delhi’s NGO working hard for society in this pandemic
When the pandemic put the whole world on standstill there was a team in Delhi NCR that fearlessly continued to work for the welfare of the society and if you speak to them they proudly say that they have worked more this year in comparison to any in the past. This is the team of Sabhyataa Foundation that amazed us with their unstoppable spirit to serve the society even with an ongoing pandemic.

First Nirbhaya, now Manisha and thousands of cases – that never got attention – in between. Something had to be done about the ignorance towards self protection, safety and self care especially in the underprivileged parts of our society. Nirbhayaa Project for women safety, and many more
While good schools take into account women safety and conduct regular workshops for students, the girls and women of the slums remain unaware of even the basic knowledge of good touch and bad touch. So the team of Sabhyataa Foundation commenced the Nirbhayaa Project on 17th October 2020. Under this project they spoke to women from underprivileged backgrounds about important topics like Self Defense Techniques, Good Touch Bad Touch, remaining alert when walking, approaching law, their rights to safety etc. Apart from safety, menstrual hygiene was also covered as a subject.
Sabhyataa Foundation team reached to nearly 60 women through the Nirbhayaa Project
Within a short span of a little over a month, Sabhyataa Foundation has spoken to nearly 60 women about the importance of Safety and Hygiene and has distributed sanitary napkins to over 100 women.
This project dawns a new hope for upliftment of the downtrodden women who easily fall prey to the lust of men with degraded mindsets.
They have just begun and have ways to go. The difficulty of the work they have chosen doesn’t seem to dispirit them and they are all set for their third drive under this project. We wish this team all the best and hope their strong will musters with each passing day.
