Blogger Interview – Fadima Mooneira ( Malaysian Blogger )
Glad to introduce our today’s guest, Fadima Mooneira ( Malaysian Blogger ). She is the great writer who collaborated with most famous writers across the world. We are happy to have her on TechnoVans. Lets know more about her work.
Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
Eiyo TechnoVans readers, I am Fadima Mooneira, a Malaysian writer, blogger and illustrator. I describe myself as artistic, creative, innovative, imaginative, trendy, and a knowledge seeker. I have strong passion for creative writing and drawing. I believe writing and drawing is the best way for me to express myself and share my imaginations with others. I love to write about lifestyle, travel, pop-culture, and edutainment. I started blogging and set up fadimamooneira.blogspot.com in 2010. I first set up my blog to sell my handmade accessories – which I’m no longer doing. But I might start designing and selling accessories again in the future. Who knows?
I never thought to take blogging seriously at that time. But later, I fell in love with blogging. That’s why I continue to blog. I am also pursuing my career as an author. Besides writing in my blog, I contributed some articles to other websites and collaborated with other authors in freelance writing projects.
Last year, I collaborated with Pn. Sri Diah (my mentor and one of Malaysia’s famous novelists) and 17 other authors in writing a book titled, Sahabat (Friends in Bahasa Malaysia). Sahabat is a book of short stories about friendship. In Sahabat, I wrote a story titled KDK – Kawan Dari Kecil (Friends From Childhood Days). The book has just been launched.
During this isolation, I collaborated with Puan Sri Diah and 40 other authors on another freelance writing project. The book will be call ‘Legasi Emak’ and it will launch soon. The date hasn’t been confirm yet. Right now, I am also writing my second novel and trying to get my first novel publish. So pls pray for me. Being a novelist is something I always wanted.
Describe how did you first get into blogging?
Like I said before, I started my blog in 2010 just to sell handmade accessories. At that time I did not plan to take blogging seriously. I fall in love with blogging in 2019. That’s where I started blogging seriously and joining communities.
How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
By joining communities, make friend and networking with bloggers from Malaysia and all around the world. I also participate in bloggers community activities like comment exchange program, affiliate add clicks, and many more.
What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?
No.1 is promotion. You have to promote your blog to people. Every time I have a new post, I always promote it on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, and community websites. I also join comment exchange program.
In the future where do you hope your blog will take you?
I hope my blog will be one of the most read blog. And I wish to have celebrities reading and subscribe to my blog. Btw, Dr. Soo Winci (Malaysia’s former Beauty Queen/Singer/Song Writer) once read my blog. Hehehe ^_^
Would you encourage other people to make their blog?
If creative writing is their passion, I would say yes why not. Those who are imaginative should have a blog.
A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog?
Wow! I am also a beginner when it comes to making money from blogging. I am still in the process of learning. So I don’t really have tips to share. But I would suggest them to join Google Adsense, make an effort to get collaborations and write product reviews.
What are the TOP THREE blogging tips you will share with our readers?
- Join communities.
- Networking, make friends, and brainstorm ideas with your fellow bloggers
- Post 1-2 posts a week.
