Her Success Story – Rashmi Daga, left her job to start an online kitchen – Fresh Menu

Rashmi Daga is the founder & CEO of Fresh Menu, a Bangalore-based online food delivery service that aims to deliver freshly prepared food at your home or office desk. Rashmi is an IIM- A graduate. Before she found her own online kitchen, she has dabbled in several industries – education, jewelry, IT, medical, and cab services.

Rashmi Daga left a job to fulfill her dream of own company

Rashmi, received her Master of Business Administration – MBA degree from the Indian Institutes of Management, Ahmedabad – IIM Ahemdabad post a B.E from Delhi College of Engineering. Rashmi worked at a start-up and then in 2011, she bootstrapped a start-up. Daga always dreamt about owning a listed company.

Rashmi was the Sales Head at India’s most popular Cab Aggregator and Ridesharing company, OlaCabs. She left this job to start her own online kitchen, Fresh Menu.

Fresh Menu focuses on the concept of ‘fresh‘. There is a different menu every day including burgers, salads, sandwiches, desserts, set meals, and the cuisine includes Continental, Asian, Lebanese, Mediterranean, and Italian fare among others.

Fresh Menu delivers fresh and healthy food

Fresh Menu is designed to offer tasty and healthy food packages to its customers. The Fresh Menu’s online food delivery service provides a range of meal packages for lunch and dinner that includes cuisines like Italian, Indian, Mexican, Chinese, American, Thai, among others, enabling customers to order online and enjoy tasty and healthy foods through their mobile application.

Recently, the company has launched Keto-friendly as well as LCHP meals. The idea was to deliver chef-prepared fresh food with a different menu every day. Today Fresh Menu serves 30,000 customers per day and enjoys a pan-India presence – in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi NCR.

Heading towards the success

Today, this online food delivery platform serves up to 12,000 orders a day. FreshMenu has multiple satellite kitchens and each kitchen serving of five kilometers radius. This online food delivery platform operates 22 kitchens in Bangalore, a number that is set to rise. FreshMenu reported revenues of INR 72 crore.
