Tip #1 Choosing the right domain name
The domain name contributes into the SEO of the blog. Choosing the custom domain name is the first step to start a blog.
Why not a Free domain name?
There are many websites offer a free domain name, but the blogger who is having long term blogging view never goes for the free domain name. If you have long term goal for blogging and you have a strong business model then the free domain name is not for you!
The free domain name is not an SEO friendly. It will not get indexed in search engines easily.
If you start with Free domain names like .blogspot.com or wordpress.com or weebly.com or wix.com and later maybe after one year you decided to go with your own domain name then you will lose your visitors.
If you have a long term goal of blogging then go for your own domain name always.

Meta description plays a vital role in On Page SEO. Every article in your blog should have a meta description tag. When someone searches for something in Google Search then the Google Search Engine gives preference to the Meta Description and later other parameters like Title of the article, keywords in the article, image alt attribute, headings and subheadings in the article, etc.

Great article, but be cautious with the use of alt text – merely packing alt text with keywords can actually hurt you if it isn’t relevant to the picture directly. Alt text should explain the picture in a way that will work for a screen reader (their original purpose). Only include the keywords if they fit the description.
